The Long Day Down is organised by Paul Phillips (and helpers), a motorcyclist of many decades, who lives in the south west of Ireland. He is the creator of the SWI500, a 500 mile touring route around the 5 peninsulas of south west Ireland and a tour guide for motorcyclists along the Wild Atlantic Way. 

It is hoped this event grows and becomes an annual occurrence to raise much needed funds for the Irish Community Air Ambulance.
